Budget Cuts + UCSC don't mix.

got admitted as class for fall 09.
3.45 GPA
1810 SAT
Bunch of EX'cs
Grad from HS early - didn't report any classes for spring semester.
rejected everywhere else

well I failed two classes and thought that it didn't matter since I was under the impression that colleges don't check grades

come Spring Spotlight I learned of Conditions of Admission, I follow advice of my tour guide and send a letter to them saying that I've already had taken classes to make up the grade, I just need to change it in my HS transcript.

I also sent my current classes and grades I earned in CC for Fall.
BAM, I get my admissions withdrawn.

Called Office of admission w/ counselor and basicly concluded that there was no rationale. I guess they just want to get rid of students.

Sorry if this happened to anyone else, you guys are not alone =/

So CC for the next couple of semesters or Uni of Redlands.

It is stil la couple of days before the SIR is due, can I appeal further eventhough i've pretty much presented everything?

Perhaps you can appeal if you intend to retake the classes over the summer at a community college. I don’t think it’s just the budget cuts though. The UC’s have always had the policy of withdrawing admission to students who receive D’s and F’s.

I have already retaken the classes.

sucks how hindsight is 20/20

Wow, I’m really really really sorry to hear that.

Thats the worst, I’m sorry =( ! But yea, just as soon as you think you’re in a safe zone to slack, bam! Don’t give up appealing, take any chance you get.
