I have some questions on Bulldog days. I know that Bulldog days is April 18-19, but is April 18 when we arrive? Or would it be possible to come the night of the 17th and stay for two instead of one nights...Also, this is nitpicky, but how do we get from the airport to Yale (I've never been before there before). And what airport do people generally use when going to Yale? I think that's it, but I'd appreciate any other pertinent comments.

thx for your help!

I'm arriving on the 16th... two days before Bulldog days actually starts. Because I want to experience Yale in it's fullest.

on the 17th there's a diversity dinner, so you can always come to that.

if you go to www.yale.edu/admit/bulldogdays You'll find lots of information about getting from the airports to Yale.

Asterstar....when i went this summer....i flew into Bradley (BDL)...and took a taxi to New Haven...i dont know if its the cheapest method though.

are thre any busses/shuttles from New Haven airport (Tweed) to Yale? I hear it's only like a 10 min drive

yea, there are buses or taxis. you best bet is to fly into tweed in new haven, itll be a bit more expensive then bradley, but worth it. the campus is pretty close to the airport and im sure tons of people will be in the same situation as you, so you may get to share a taxi with someone.

If you fly in to NH you can take a taxi. My son says it's about $5-$6. If you fly in to BDL (Hartford) you'll want to see if CTLIMO is making rounds, and if so, you want PHELPS EXPRESS. I thought they ran all year round, but found this was not true when my nephew went to visit my son 2 weeks ago. CTLIMO doesn't go the PHELPS during "down times". Best to call them and see what they say. They do go to LONG WHARF DR which is about 2 miles from the OC I believe. My nephew took the BRADLEY FLYER to the train station in Hartford and then took the train in to NH and then a taxi over to OC. It took a lot of work to find out the routes for my nephew - best and easiest is right in to NH or CTLIMO from BDL.

Enjoy your time at YALE, my son went up early last year, from Sat. and left on Tuesday, no problem, tons of kids are willing to host you. I think he's probably going to be hosting this year.

I'm flying in on the 17th to New Haven and planning to take a taxi.
