I was still sort of pinching myself in the weeks since my decision folder arrived to be sure I hadn't dreamed it, but it definitely feels real now that the sticker arrived.

I hope it’s on your car now - more Texans need to become familiar with Carleton!

By the way, get used to hearing “Take a coat!” when you tell people Carleton is in Minnesota.

firefly scout, I agree that Texans have no clue. My mom tried to take me parka and boot shopping today in anticipation of cold I’ll be in a year from now. ha.

The sticker is on my car and my personal educating-Texans-about-Carleton campaign has begun.

This week, I was walking my dog while wearing my Carleton hoodie, and a woman pulled over and said, “Does that mean Carleton in Minnesota? My dh graduated from there! He’ll be so excited to know there’s another Carl on our street!” I was shocked. I’m just thrilled when people have heard of it. Ds would usually get, “Oh, Tarleton!” Texans will recognize that as the name of a state school in Stephenville. ;)

270,000 minutes (give or take) until New Student Week begins. (not that I’m counting)

Haha, glad to see that you’re psyched griffen. Take it from a senior who is counting the minutes to graduation (not nearly as excited as you are. I love it here and have no idea what to do with my future so…), you’re in for a great college experience.

Griffen… I just read some of your old posts and found your stats… WOW!! You will give my Junior S hope. I went on here a few months back asking about Carleton and outdoor stuff and got a few replies stating that my S’s 3.2( will be probably more like 3.4-3.5 when he applies) would not likely get him in… He also has 2100+ SAT’s, is an Eagle Scout, just was awarded Vigil… highest honor in scouting, has over 800 hrs volunteering in his passions of conservation and medicine… holds a national leadership position in scouting that is VERY time consuming… anyway, I’m glad to see that Carleton looked at you holistically and I hope they will with my S too.

^Lucky for me, Carleton recognizes that not all 3.3UWs are created equal. Yes, I would think your S has a shot and should apply.
