I'll be a freshman next year in LSA and was assigned to Bursley. From looking around on this forum, it should be pretty good except for the location.

The umich bus website says the bus from bates/bursley to cc little takes only 15 minutes. Can any students tell me if this is accurate, or does it usually take longer than that?

Also, is it possible to bike between north and central campus?

15 minutes on average sounds about right. On weekday mornings during student rush hour it’s usually faster, and on weekends you can end up waiting 30+ minutes to get on a bus.

It’s not dangerous with the snow - the city and University clear all the paths really quickly when it snows. And if you really don’t want to ride, then you can just leave your bike locked and take the bus instead.

There’s even covered bicycle parking on the south side of Angell Hall which works well when it’s snowing.

I take the bus everyday from central to north for engineering; it’s not bad at all on the weekdays. Usually one leaves every 5 minutes, and the ride is 10 minutes. On the weekends you may want to bike; it’s not that far, I can jog from the CCRB to Bursley in 20 minutes!
