Hey everyone. I was wondering if any of you know when Cornell will be conducting bus trips from Long Island, NYC, Westchester, Boston, Philly, etc for prospective students to visit campus together. I know they did it last year. Does anyone have any info on when thats going to be?

I live in NJ, and I got a note about it. The trip would be from sep. 25-26. I can't go, though... i have a soccer game. :(

When did you get the note? Maybe ill get it soon too.

I got the email on August 19, and the letter came a bit later.

Hmm...did u get it from Marina Fried?

nope, Kyle Downey... i think he's the adcom who's responsible for my area cuz i've gotten emails from him before.

He is the adcom responsible for NJ yes. Since he emails all his people, then Marina Fried should email her people, including me at a separate time.

oh ok. well i hope you get the note soon! and have fun if you go! :)

do you sleep over night with the bus trip??

Thanks Koala....ye, Louis, i was wondering about that too. I really have no idea. They dont tell us anything, lol. Are you all applying Early Decision?

No, actually i'm applying ED to Princeton, but Cornell is without a doubt my second choice and i would be absolutely thrilled if i ended up going there.

Anyway, just to postpone further questions, i'll post the email i recieved:

Save the Date...

Bus Trip Coordinator

Bklyn... I think I have Marina Fried also. She emailed about joining "Cyber tower" which is some sort of cornell forum.

I already visited Cornell... Does this mean that I won't be invited?

no, i had already visited, too. It just means that if too many people want to go on the trip, the ones who have not yet been to Cornell will be given first priority.

I also got the CyberTower thing, that was a while ago, maybe 2 weeks ago. If you live in NYC, like i do Louis, then Marina Fried is your representative too. There are events in Manhattan, Bronx, and Brooklyn posted up for September. I already registered for one in Brooklyn on Sept 27, in which Marina Fried will be there. If you visited, it gives you a lesser chance of going on the bus trip if you read the letter koala wrote which says its really reserved for first-time visitors.

Plus Cybertower sucks
