John kerry stands for democracy. He stands for true leadership. He stands for a better, safer and peaceful America. Good luck in London. I was there last year and i can say with confidence that the majority hate Bush. So good luck living with the hatred. LOL

Btw about the post where you talked about the muslims celebrating the fall of the WTC towers ...

The videos released were of muslims celebrating a religious festival, and the footage was shot 5 YEARS BEFORE THE WTC ATTACKS. It was only shown on american television after the WTC attacks to make it seem as though that was the reason for the celebration...

Kind of puts things in a different perepective?

watercannon, thanks for making things clear. haha, another useless blaming on Muslims. uc_benz is such a dumb*** .

Boy, does it feel good that he is leaving!!!

"whether they practice the traditional Islam religion or they follow militant Islamic beliefs is another story, but they were still Muslims"

so according to I shouldnt differentiate between wacko evangelical christian terrorists who bomb abortion clinics, kill doctors, and control with fear, much of the countryside. Or those who actually follow the true meaning of christianity and help the poor

"but when it comes at the expense of protecting our nation's best interests it is definitely worth it. A lot of countries didn't even agree with the War in Afghanistan! And are you going to tell me we shouldn't have gone into Afghanistan either?"

you just proved my point
the war in Iraq was not about Saddam, it was about OIL

and don't forget we didnt even go in to Afghanistan weeks after 9/11. In fact, inteeligence analysts say that we could have caught him at Tora Bora if bush had acted faster.... but then again, I shouldnt blame the guy he was still recovering from his month long vacation and hangover

Septitern, or was he still recovering from the terrible experience from choking with pretzels?

I cant wait how Bush reacts to Korea and Iran as time goes by!!

Why does primitive whine about ppl making "personal attacks?"

its funny how you remain silent all of a sudden when your conservative buddies blame every bad incident on Muslims. Do you actually believe Muslims were proud of what happened at 9/11? Yes, go support you crazy leader and their conservatives counterparts. I am here to support the truth like many CCers here are. Muslims, Muslims, Muslims... i am tired of hearing all this crap! If Bush (or republicans) are saints to you, then I hope you love his next four years in office because there is alot more problems to come!!

There is only one clip of Muslims celebrating? I ASSURE you this one was taken on September 11. I am 100% sure it was taken on September 11. If you want to have proof then post your e-mail address, and I will send it to you before I leave at 7 tonight. If the footage was so 'fake' as you like to put it, then why did Yassir Arafat condemn those who celebrated? He obviously saw celebrations too. Unless of course you think Arafat would have condemned his own people for nothing.

And before you put any more spin on what I was saying, I did not say that the traditional followers of Islam are not different from militant Islams. Alexander questioned as to why I named Muslims, and that is because they ARE Muslims not matter which variation of Islam they follow. To use your example of Christians, whether they bomb abortion clinics or help the poor, they are still Christians. It's not a matter of differentiating between the two because that wasn't the point of my post. What else would you call them?

And concerning Iraq, it was in our best interests not to allow him the opportunity to acquire nuclear weapons. If you don't believe me about him being able to start-up a program rather quickly then I suggest you read the 9/11 Commissions' report. Unless you dispute their findings too!

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the military operations (obviously not much), but it is strategically impossible to go into a country on a couple days notice. It takes weeks of planning to effectively disarm a country unless of course you just enter on a whim and have a lot of soldiers killed. Thank god you are not making the military decisions.

And intelligence analysts huh? These are the same intelligence analysts that said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. But obviously you don't believe them in that case. So what is it, are they telling the truth or not? It's obvious you're followers of John Kerry because you can't be steadfast in your decision making process.

uc_benz, i would LOVE to see those pics you are talking about!!
my email-- greensoap6@aol.com

and btw, if you guys didnt know, i was interested in joining the army when i was a sophomore. However, its looks like that wouldnt be a "wise" choice to make. Anyhow, I will work my best in serving this nation in other ways, in ways that actually make a difference. Anyone here interested in joining the military?

Congratulations! You should receive a purple heart just for thinking about joining the military. Give me a break.

And intelligence analysts huh? These are the same intelligence analysts that said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

Oh yes. Hope you didnt forget the fact that Bush didnt even care about catching Bin Laden anyways. Refer to the quotes I have posted if you find difficult to believe. And semptitern, wheather he takes alot of alcohol or not, Bush is ALWAYS an idiot!

"What else would you call them?"

militant religious terrorists

"it was in our best interests not to allow him the opportunity to acquire nuclear weapons"

yet we let lil Kim and North Korea actually create those nukes

why? because their army is actually formidable and the US can;t attack it right now. So the US has resorted to name calling across the pacific. Bush called him a "pygmy" etc etc. This would resemble a few obnoxious kids on the playground, except the difference is that in this case we have two wackos with inferiority complexes with nukes at their disposal!

Congratulations! You should receive a purple heart just for thinking about joining the military.

At least John Kerry won the purple heart! what did Bush achieve in the military? And i am still waiting for your email (boy am i ready for a laugh!)
Since you feel so strongly about wars against terrorism, why dont YOU join the military and go to Iraq to kill some civilians? Isnt that the the true spirit of conservatism all about?

primitive...you like to twist ppls words alot, and you're very immature :)...sempitern and watercannon have been presenting good arguments...you, on the other hand, have been babbling on about nothing...and he wasn't blaming every bad incident on Muslims...notice...he made a point to let us know he wasn't directing his statement towards all Muslims...if he'da said "Muslims are what did this, they're the ppl that are killing everyone...all of em are terrorists," you'd see me arguing against him...BUT...he DIDN'T....the thing with you is...you assume everyone that calls a terrorist a Muslim (not a Muslim a terrorist) is racist and anti-Islam...furthermore...I am not insecure about my religous beliefs...I am Muslim and I am proud of it....if ppl wish to attack my religion then let them do it, because they're not going to sway my thinking....and i know that i can tell a biggot everything about Islam and he won't change his mind.....but uc_benz is NOT an anti-Muslim bigot...he's not attacking the religion as a whole...he's simply saying some militant/anti-American Islamic groups DID cheer...which i KNOW they did....but, I'm sure he's well-educated enough to know that such groups make up a small percentage of Muslims...

haha, nafrafsfa, if the other debates threads (especially the "Dartmouth joins the miltary" thread)werent deleted, you wouldnt be saying that my posts were immature. To make a long story short, i am tired of providing good arguments with good sources, when uc_benz and others would simply divert topics or rather talk about John kerry. or he would question my sources, like he ever provides one. I am not complaining, just providing a reason for the awkward style of my posts. I dont care about bigots, but I actually hate when the hard earned reputation of Islam is put down by fanatics. It is because people stay silent that catasrophes occur. I am not insecure about my religion and i am not the perfect Muslim, but when people hate my religion, they hate me. Dont know about you, but religion>race.

Its ****es me off especially when i love America so much!

i waited all day for the pictures but uc_benz never emailed them to me.........

well, I'm not about to read the entire 8 page thread, but it seems that primativefuture has invoked the "chicken hawk" argument. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. So your argument is that the only people who should make foreign policy that involves the military are those that have or are currently serving in the military? And you think our current foreign policy is hawkish? Civilian control of the military is much more a blessing for the left than the right, and if you don't believe this that you are truly disconnected from reality.

" Civilian control of the military is much more a blessing for the left than the right"

unless the civilians are ignorant dumbasses who will listen to whatever rummy and his heritage foundation buddies tell him

huh? what's that supposed to mean?

it goes to show you that civilian control of the military isnt necessarily a blessing for the left!
