It's been a couple months since all US military troops pulled out of Iraq. I've heard like no news about it since. Any savvy people know what's going on with Iraq? Did the military just leave Iraq to be independent? Or are there still "private contractors" and "advisers" in Iraq?
What's the plan yo?

All troops haven’t been pulled out. There are still some key personnel there. I don’t work for the government, so I don’t know what they’re doing their and what their plan is. Also, don’t forget the there are still thousands of troops in Afghanistan and many of the troops that pulled out of Iraq are now stationed in Kuwait.

BTW what does this have to do with college life?

I believe we still have advisors there.

It’s probably gonna be another Germany/Korea/Japan. We’ll always have a presence there.

There are still people there. My dad works for one of the contractor companies, and they still send people over for various things. Most soldiers are gone though.

eh, war is war, so long as two groups disagree over something, it’ll happen.

That being said, it is profitable. IF i remember correctly, the US gets something out of having those bases there as well, a presences in the area should another war break out.

^ Yes, it was great back when the Soviets existed and people were willing to be our humble vassals. Now, with the exception of Japan, the UK, Canada, and Israel, everybody just sponges off our power and then stabs us in the back when we want to get stuff done.

That is an oversimplification, but you get the idea.
