If I want to pursue an international business career with an MBA, which major preps me better? and which one generally has stronger employment oppourtunities?

Strathmore

Talk to a
counselor

In the meantime, look at the similar pre-req courses for both majors. You have time to decide...

im in econ/international area studies. in some ways, it requires more courses than bizecon. the only edge you get from bizecon is from the 2/3 management courses you take from anderson school. also if you speak a foreign language and want to take advantage of it, you might wanna consider international area studies.

as to which one prepares you better, bizecon does only because it has the management courses. in other words, econ/intl area studies requires more econ courses.

well, say I would want to ultimately move into the import/export and foreign personnel management in investmant companies, which major would provide a better background?

econ/international area studies, of course, because it requires you to pick a geographical area of study. also if you wanna do management, a couple of anderson courses would help too.
