Business Economics major -> future of an undergrad

I was wondering what kind of career opportunities would a business economics undergraduate degree lead to?

unlike concentration fields under business administration that clearly leads one to their career goals (e.g. accting -> accountant), what kind of employment do business economics offer? Wouldn't companies rather have an applicant specified in a certain field rather than such a broader field of econ?

are there a lot of opportunities for this major..?

for those currently in this major, how are the internship opportunities like..?

you can have have many opportunities with a business economics degree. but the same can be said with an accounting degree (accounting does not always lead to an accounting profession).

it really boils down to what area of the business job market you want to enter into. E.g. banking, investment banking, insurance, private banking, asset management, etc.... Be prepared to develop the skills necessary for those careers.
