Business Economics to Business administration?

Hi, this will be my first year in college. Currently I am to be a Business Economics major but I am planning to fulfil the Pre-Business requirements and switch to Business administration.

Should I not worry about the major requirements for Business Economics because of this during the first two years at UCR? Business administration will completely replace my current major, Business Economics, right? Once I'm switched to Business administration I wont have to care for the requirements of Business Economics, right?

By the way, is Business administration still a part of CHASS? It's just that it's for a B.S. rather than a B.A. like Business Economics is, right?

Also are the Pre-Business requirements the Lower-division courses for the Business Administration major?

Would the Concentration courses be the Upper division electives?

& the courses listed here ( [Undergraduate Business Program: Core Courses](<a href=“Business Administration Major | School of Business”>Business Administration Major | School of Business) ) the general required Business Administration Upper-division course?

Sorry for all these questions :/

Uh…
How does the school know that I want to participate in the Pre-Business thing? Who do I go talk to? :/

You should chat with the Undergrad Advising office in the School of Business Administration (SoBA), which is the college in which the Business Administration major is housed. Their website is here: ([Undergraduate Business Program: Undergraduate Business Programs Office](<a href=“Undergraduate | School of Business”>Undergraduate | School of Business)) and you can stop by for walk-in hours during the week, or call to set up an appointment.

If you want to transfer into the Business Admin program after two years, you’ll need to fulfill the pre-req classes, but the SoBA advisers might recommend fulfilling some Business Econ requirements in case you don’t get into the Business Admin program.

Are you an incoming freshman? When you come to campus for Highlander Orientation, you can let your Business Econ adviser know that you want to pursue the Business Admin major.

But yeah, chat with the Advising office at SoBA for more info. [Undergraduate Business Program: Undergraduate Business Programs Office](<a href=“Undergraduate | School of Business”>Undergraduate | School of Business))

@Elisebear: Yes I am an incoming freshman. I will be doing that for sure. I just wanted to make sure. Thank you for helping
