HEY! So I was just wondering what kind of "hook-ups" does UCR give business majors when it comes to finding jobs, internships , etc. etc

Any info about it would be helpful!

Well, there aren’t really any “hook-ups”. You gotta work for everything that you want.

There are career fairs, events that the career center holds, etc. that are available to students. Majority of the students don’t make use of it.

Which major is a better pursuit: business or history?

What do you want to do as a career?

@leonhart2004 I have no clue…I just want to be realistic about my future.

As stated previously, there aren’t really any hookup’s for being a business major. Im a business major and if you really want “hook ups” you might want to look at the business oriented clubs or frats/sororities.

I like being a business major. The major itself is very ambiguous and very adaptable to many different things. Business majors have to take courses from a variety of different subjects. In fact, in the first 2 years, business majors only take 2-3 business courses (Bus 10, 20 and 21 (if you want to do accounting). Then in you third year, you apply to SoBA (School of Business Administration) and declare your concentration.

History is a great major as well. If you want to a teacher, historian or work in a history related field, go with history. If you are planning to go to grad school, your major doesn’t really matter.

However, compared to Business, history does not open as many doors or possibilities.
