has anyone heard of people doing this? basically you take the classes and in the end if you pass them all with a 2.0 you can declare it as your minor right?

Im planning on majoring in Chinese (ELAC) and minoring in business. To get that well rounded/ valuable businessman effect.

Anyone else done something like this or at least minored in business? how did you like it?

I prefer to minor in business instead of major in it to eliminate the stresses of micro and macro economics and business calc and stats. :)

I’m not really sure what you’re asking. Is a business minor possible? Yes. You need to have a major, a minimum of 48 credit hours completed with at least a 2.75 GPA.

“To get that well rounded/valuable businessman effect.” I’m not sure what that means. If you mean will having a business minor help you get a job in the business world then yes I suppose it will. Though avoiding all mathematics and economics based classes probably isn’t going to help you get the “valuable businessman effect” you’re looking for. Furthermore, the straight “Business” minor has accounting, economics and finance classes as part of the requirements. So it’s going to be difficult to avoid all math based subjects.

If you’re interested in taking some business classes and meet the requirements then take the classes.
