Um, there's a link on the haas site for the business minor but its broken. is the business minor still offered? thanksyous.

Good question. I'd like to know too.

Ok found it on the website, no more business minor: "elimination of the business minor by Summer Session 2004. The phase out of the minor is expected to make room for more business majors." Too bad huh.

Yeah, if you're interested, that's too bad. What sorts of classes can a non-business major take in business? Does anybody know?

you can take whatever classes you want. business minor was just a title, didn't help you much. no priority in choosing UGBA courses either. check out the business courses, take what you enjoy. i loved strategic planning and implementation (don't know the course number anymore).

Even though the business minor was eliminated, the "Haas Concentration" is a viable option. I think you take 3-5 upper div business classes and just write on your resume instead of a business minor, a "Haas Concentration - GPA - X.XX"

Many profs in Haas recommend this path.

Ohhh, I can get a Econ Concentration too then.

You can, if you concentrate.

hey law...could you give any more info about the "Haas concentration" thing? is there a contact person maybe? thanks

do you need lots of prereqs to be able to take these upper div business classes? i would think you do...

I first heard about it from Professor Cluff at an event that introduced business or whatnot. It was last semester so I could be wrong but basically what he said was now that the minor has been eliminated, he recommends to students who want to minor in business to take 4-5 upper division business classes. The hardest thing he said was getting into the classes (so sign up for them in Phase I). Cluff said employers look at this "Haas Concentration" similarly to the minor.
