Business School and Frat Life

Could someone please explain the differences(including rank) of the business schools at IU, UW, and here? Also can anyone explain the frat life on campus?

Illinois has the #1 undergrad accounting program in the nation, and I think the other undergrad. bus majors are also top ten. However, compared to the difficulty of engineering majors and some other ones, business is a complete joke.

About half the students are involved in some kind of frat on campus. There are professional frats and social frats. Professional ones are not at all like social frats. When you think of movies like “animal house”, that’s social frats (and that’s the kind I assume you’re talking about). At the beginning of the year, and at the beginning of each semester for guys, each frat will host rush events (mostly barbaques, sports nights, and parties. To “rush a frat” means to attend their rush events. During these events you get to meet the guys from the frat and see if their house would be a good fit. If it is, after a few events they might offer you a “bid”, which is an invitation to sign. If you do this, then you become a pledge and will learn how to use lemon pledge very effectively.

Thank you so much. This was very helpful, and the lemon pledge comment is hilarious haha
