Hello, I was surprisingly deferred with higher scores and GPA’s and extracurricular than others at my school. Could it be because that I applied to be directly admitted into the business school? Any word on when they tell direct admits that they have been admitted?
Nah - they don’t look at your direct admit application till you are admitted to the university, pretty sure. My D was holding off till she knew she was admitted to UW but now has to figure out if she wants to submit her application to the School of Business (she may choose to apply in spring of freshman year or even remain in L&S. She’s not sure yet).
Direct admit apps are due in February (20th? Can’t remember the exact date) and notified in early April so after the RD decision date. You may well find that you have been admitted to both! Good luck!
