<p>If you apply to business you can also check that you wish to be considered for general studies (LAS) and if rejected by business LAS will then review your application using its criteria.</p>
<p>Business is more difficult to get admitted than LAS (university as a whole had about a 68% admission rate last year but business was somewhat below 50%). Business does a full file review and you should consider essays very important. As a result, having high class rank/ test score does not assure you will be admitted to business over someone with lower stats. LAS middle 50% ranges are lower than business and its admission rate is about that 68% mentioned above.</p>
