<p>So I will most likely be applying very soon. I am OOS and have mediocre stats. I have very good essays however and ECs. I would like to know if i havea greater shot at admission applying to DGS (division of General Studies) or LAS??? (which one has lower standards)?</p>

<p>You should assume they are the same. General studies is just what used to be called undecided and admission as undecided usually is line with what you will find to be generally applicable to LAS.</p>

<p>Business has the lowest admission rate, below 50%, of any of the colleges, has a higher middle 50% range than LAS and considers essays very important -- and has been known to reject a number with very high stats and take some with lower as a result. LAS' admission rate is usually in mid-to high 60s percent range; you can expect general studies to be in that same range.</p>
