im looking at top business schools in the northeast...wharton, stern, boston college (because they have fencing teams)

but i wanna know some top undergraduate business schools where u think i could get SCHOLARSHIP money

SAT: 800 Math, 550 Reading, 710 Writing
SAT 2s: 800 Math 2, 730 Chem
ACT: 34 (36 Math, 33 Reading, 33 English, 35 Sci)

i'm a nationally ranked fencer (penn, nyu, notre dame, boston college have fencing teams...thats about it for top business undergraduate schools)

i dont care if the shcool doesnt have a fencing team....i just wanna know where i could potentially get scholarship money

Why do you want to study business?

Dude, you're seriously going to need to bring up that CR score for merit money. Most scholarships, even institutional, have yet to catch on to the SAT with Writing thing. That makes your score 1350, and at a business school, that probably won't get you very much. I suppose you could rely on your ACT score, too.

What state do you live in? Many public universities have good business schools, like Michigan (as much as I hate to say it), Virginia, and UC Berkeley. You could get lots of merit money from a public university, especially if you're in-state.

Do you mean need based or merit aid. Wharton. for examplt, has need based only. Stern has far less need based aid available but they have merit aid for top applicants.

With your current CR score I doubt a coach could get you into Wharton. Stern would be har too, especially with money unless fencing is really hot there. For merit money without being recruited, you will have to go way below the schools you list.

His ACT is in the range for any school. Just use that. With the EC you might have a good shot at Penn and NYU.

collegekid100....just to let u know, the princeton coach guaranteed me admission if i tell him its my final choice

unfortuanately i want to do business so i'm not looking at princeton too seriously....i'm going to apply to wharton early...and the Penn coach said i have very good chances

"unfortuanately i want to do business so i'm not looking at princeton too seriously"

Yet again I ask.... Why do you want to study business? What do you want to do with a business degree? There are many aspects of business that a degree from Princeton would be just as good (and even maybe better) as one from Wharton, Stern, and BC.

i'm very into math...so i wanna major in maybe actuarial science (which very few schools have - only like nyu and penn have it) - also, i know that teh way u get groomed at wharton is very different than princeton....wharton will give u a great overall business perspective and knowledge...but i feel that at princeton it is a lot different

also, pton has a hige emphasis on writing and reading.....the things i hate

so it becomes....major in a business field (finance, or actuarial sci maybe) at wharton or major in economics or applied mathematics at pton.

i feel that wharton is better when i compare the 2

If you go to Wharton, I'd say there's a good chance you won't choose the actuarial concentration when you see what else is available. Why limit your focus so early? Actuary is a great job for some but at Wharton it's not what the top is aiming for.

If the Prinmceton coach is guaranteeing in, I'd take another look. They have a very top math department. I don't think you'll be writing many fewer papers at Penn.

Honestly, I find it shocking that a fencing coach can get a 550 SAT into any ivy. I didn't think they would do that for a quarterback.

i'm not trying to limit myself....i don't necessarily want to do actuarial science.....i think overall wahrton will lead to more job opportunities than majoring in math at princeton

and also....princeton is definitely more writing/reading intensive than wharton

i also like the penn atmosphere much more than princeton
