Business Statistics (BMGT230)

BMGT230: Business Statistics

Are any of you (or your sons/daughters) enrolled in this class with Prof. Gold?

Sunday night all the classes were filled, but tonight I went on to double check that I got the right book and there were openings all over the place!

Is stat really hard? I've never taken stat in my life and math has never been my best subject. I talked to my mom about it, but she's a math teacher so she likes this stuff!

My math-geek daughter and her friends always said that Stat is “not really” math, and hated AP stat in high school. The other daughter (NON-math lover) did fine in AP statistics. Go figure.

I took bmgt230 last semester with professor studer-ellis, who was an amazing professor. Unfortunately, he left, so I don’t know about professor gold, but stats wasn’t too bad. Same as any other class in terms of the curve, and the material is basically like my high school ap stats course, but a little harder. There’s always a lot of switching out during add/drop period. Good luck!

I hear studer-ellis was good. I’m disappointed that I missed him! At least day 2 with Gold wasn’t too bad. All of your posts make me feel less nervous about this class.

I took it with Studer-Ellis last year, who was an amazing teacher. I’ve heard a few good things about Gold, just based on the first week.

Overall, business statistics is not too difficult, but you HAVE to put the work in. If you study hard and pay attention, you’re basically guaranteed a B. Push a little more and you’ll make an A.
