Hello all,
I am currently looking into taking business statistics. The description is as follows:
Advanced statistical analysis with applications in business and economics utilizing relevant computer software. Topics include business applications in descriptive and inferential statistics emphasizing selected topics such as simple and multiple regression, analysis of variance, time series analysis and non-parametric techniques.

However, the only course available is the online course. I have never taken an online class, and I am unsure how much math is really involved in business stats. The thought of taking a serious math class online worries me. Is this class doable online? The prof rating on RMP is just awful.

I actually took Business Statistics online, with a couple of other things simultaneously, and it’s definitely manageable. The drawbacks are the same as any online course, you can’t ask questions or collaborate with any students. The math is definitely there but even in high school, statistics have always been easier for me than many other math classes. When it’s tied to business and economics it gets a bit tricky, but assuming you have a solid foundation of applicable knowledge, I think you’ll be fine. Plus, there is additional resources on the internet that you can use to complement your class. Best of luck, and please let me know what you decide, and if you go for it, let me know your personal opinions on it!

I will certainly keep you posted! I will feel out how the first few weeks feels and drop it if necessary. I don’t start until august 19th, so it may be a while haha. Very glad to know it is manageable.
