Buying a computer

I am planning to buy a computer from the Cornell store, probably a Macbook. When i got the orientation information it says there will be a cornell store showcase on Ho Plaza and you can make computer purchases there.
However it just hit me that so many other freshmen will also want to buy a computer, so are they going to have enough? sry if its a silly question but will they have whatever i will need in stock? should i preorder online or something or is it already too late?

Thank you

Though I believe it’s more convenient and practical to have a computer, my son lasted his entire freshman year using the computers available at the student centers throughout campus. Therefore, I wouldn’t worry too much if you have to wait for the one you want.

Best of luck!

If you don’t mind looking off campus, I would suggest it. You’ll probably find computers at cheaper rates.

they’re giving away a free itouch for college kids who purchase a mac online-
you could take advantage of that.

u get $100 off on macbooks if u buy from the cornell store rather than an online site selling macbooks or the apple store

^^ ya they give an i pod touch
and also the prices are good, lower than off campus actually (best buy, etc.)

so buying a comp wont be a problem during orientation week in terms of them actually having them?

Cornell book store has the best price for Macs, even compared with Apple educational discount. I would call the book store now to see if it would be cheaper to wait until orientation week. If so, would they give you the orientation price. I have ordered 4 Macs from them in the last 3 years, and they definitely have the best price.

The cornell store orders them from apple anyway…they wont go out of stock

u’ll be fine
