Buying Books

Hey, I know there are a few upperclassmen out there, and I was wondering if you could help me with this question. I'm an entering freshman and I have my classes all settled and decided, and I'm not changing them. On the school bookstore's website, you can enter in your classes and buy your books. Should I order my books now and have them mailed to my house, or should I wait until I get to school and then get them?

What do most students do?

It depends. One of my friends last year had it mailed to his house and then brought them to school. I just went to the bookstore when I moved in and bought my books. This year I think I am going to wait a few days until after classes start to buy my books. I ended up paying close to 150 for my physics book/kit, but once the class started, the prof was like "yea, we recommend you have a book, but if you don't want to pay for the package, just buy the E-book for $30."

i usually order mine from half.com or amazon.com for sometimes less than half the price of the bookstore.
