buying UCLA bruins tickets

I'm a incoming freshman and I'm wondering how to get tickets to UCLA football and basketball games (esp. UCLA vs. USC). Is it hard to get and/or expensive? I don't think I want season tickets either (not enough time to go to all the games).

a full season for basketball and football is around 170, works out to be 2/3 bucks for basketball games if you call the football games around 15 each. You can only get guaranteed 'SC tickets with a season pass. Den passes (season ticket package) sell out in a few days (by sell out, i mean the lottery drawing will be a few days). You can always get football tickets (cept USC), but basketball tickets are a whole different beast. I'd just get the season pass since it's way more worth it than buying individual tickets.

so is it basically impossible to get individual tickets to 'SC games?

its possible if you have the franklins.

damn.

10 chars.

It doesn't cost all that and they give out free ones to the alumni who donate a certain amount each year.

well i'm not an alumni (yet) and i don't donate money to ucla.

no but you could always meet 'em. My mom's friend gets them and they go to all the UCLA/SC games. My parents host this dinner 4 12 strangers thing every year or so which is hosted by alums. I think they start after the football season ends, but you can make some good connections and then call them the next season!

so the cheapest way to get tickets to the UCLA vs. USC basketball games is to get Den season tickets, because individual tickets to that game are really hard to get and are really expensive?

Yes, plus the student section offers great seats for the early fans.

I think I'll get the the football pass, and watch the basketball games on TV. With the football pass, it says you get a chance at UCLA & USC, how much do they cost?

they're 50 bucks this year( it's @ USC), there will be a lottery I think, since most of us have already bought tickets if we're not freshmen

Sorry, I don't quite get how the Den pass and basketball tkts works. You pay your $100+. That gets some football and other non-basketball tkts, as well as enters you for a basketball tkt lottery. If you win the lottery (50-50 chances for freshman?), you then GET the basketball tkts or you can then BUY the basketball tkts (for how much?)?

People who have Den will have the chance to buy USC tickets. If there are any tickets left (unlikely), then there will be a lottery.

If you read the Den tickets site, you will find your answer. <a href="http://uclabruins.cstv.com/tickets/ucla-ssp.html%5B/url%5D">http://uclabruins.cstv.com/tickets/ucla-ssp.html</a></p>

The ticket plan prices are here:
<a href="http://uclabruins.cstv.com/tickets/ucla-ssp-plans.html%5B/url%5D">http://uclabruins.cstv.com/tickets/ucla-ssp-plans.html</a></p>

You may choose to receicve a refund in the mail if you are unsuccessful in the basketball tickets draw. After, if you still want basketball tickets, you will have to buy them at a higher price, outside of the Den. Most likely, you will be in the 300 section, for about $25-$30.

do you happen to know the usual odds of the basketball ticket lotter? is it really really rare to get them and does buying the $120 plan over the $109 plans affect your chances at all?
