basketball/football

I got a packet in the mail the other day about buying season tickets for football and basketball. I was wondering if ucla students want to go to just one or two basketball or football games, how do you get tickets? costs?

...also this fall im going to be staying in hedrick summit. from what i have read on other threads is that it tends to be rather unsocial. serious? maybe i should have picked a residential hall.

you'll be fine. don't trade for a res hall. hedrick tends to form a tighter community because it's so out of the way, so you'll see a lot of the same people at hedrick dining hall.

it is easy to get football tickets as they are 10 bucks and you can just get it during the game week or even before, basketball on the other hand is much harder to get tickets

Where exactly do they play? Do they play on campus?

Basketball is on campus, football is in the Rose Bowl (in Pasadena).

Thanks. 10

it is pretty difficult to get those basketball tickets. first of all, the season package only comes with half of the home games. and then it's only when you get selected through a lottery that you will even be able to purchase the package.

as for getting individual tickets, last year i tried to purchase some mid way through the season, and all the games for the rest of the season were sold out =X

The top package comes with all games. The next down is half the b-ball games. The next is only football. Does anyone know how many tickets they give through the lottery? It seems a student should be able to watch his/her own school's team play at home!

my bad, i was looking at something else. i actually see the 08-09 bball season tickets up for sale. but my point about making sure to purchase the tickets when they are still available, remains the same.

when are they going to notify us about the lottery? man I hope they got my application this time, last year somehow they didn't get my application and I had to buy individual game tickets, and I wasn't about to enter the first lottery for basketball tickets which guarantees you at least a package I think...

"i actually see the 08-09 bball season tickets up for sale."

Where???

"How do I check the status of my Den Season Ticket?
You will receive an e-mail in mid-August with lottery results and the status of your Den Season Ticket. You may also check your status by calling the Central Ticket Office (CTO) at (310) UCLA-WIN."

Everyone must buy season tickets and esp basketball tickets. You can only get the bball tix if you buy the season tix and its a very good deal.

for those that aren't freshman, didn't they already send your lottery notification? i got mine the last month of school telling me i got like the blue package for games next year

my den package didn't go through for some reason last season so they made me by individual tickets to football games and you have to be a den member to renew the package so i had to enter the lottery with all the new members

silmilar thing happened to me last year
for some reason my den season tickets were rejected but i ended up registering for the den season passes on campus anyway.
it was actually better because i didn't have to pay for the early games that i didn't go to

blueandgold: Can you please clarify "registering for the den season passes on campus"? My son only received the football package and he's so upset. Thanks in advance!

nothing you can do, there is no way to get basketball tickets unless you win the lottery, maybe you can buy certain games off your friends if they are not going, pay some money, get their bruincard and go...
