I got a C in swimming freshman year because I couldn't swim. Other than that C I got all A's and B's throughout high school. I took Honors and AP classes as well. I currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 as I am a Junior. I don't know my test scores yet, but I think that they will be good. Would that one C hurt my chances at any college at all?

Probably not. Many colleges don’t even count gym toward your GPA.

Do they count other electives toward you GPA?

Colleges will recalculate your GPA anyways without gym.

For other electives it depends on the elective and the college. For instance, if you’re applying as an Art major your Art grades will probably count. By contrast, Yale probably won’t give much consideration to the fact you got straight A’s in cooking for four years.
