C- in Chem 2A

I received a C- (minus) in Chem 2A this quarter, which is a major required course and a pre-req for 2B. I’m really stressed out about it and I can’t contact an advisor until the break is over.

Is this considered passing? Can I move on to Chem 2B? Or do I need to retake the course for winter quarter and get a C or better?

Anything above an F is passing, including a D (I think it’s a UCD thing? I don’t know if other UCs accept Ds as a barely passing grade), so yes, it is passing. Also, you can only retake classes you received a D in.

Yes, it’s considered passing. You can’t retake classes you get a C- in, only if you get a D or F.
