CA schools for me?

Alright, I know y’all get a million of these but I’d like to request some recommendations for college (preferably a few reach schools and safety schools in addition to other recommendations) based upon the following:

-Major is PoliSci (w/ the intent of Law school following four year degree)

-I’m considering a double major (or at minimum a minor) in an English/Business field to expand my opportunities and pursue other career paths if necessary.

-Planning on studying abroad at some point

-GPA unweighted of 3.63-3.75 cumulative throughout high school thus far (weighted is 5.15)

-SAT score is 1340 (750 Eng/ 590 Math; taking another in a week or so, will update if I achieve a higher score)

-ECs: Newspaper all four years of high school; Foreign Language club (Chinese) Sophmore year on; Mock Congress Junior year on; Model UN Junior year on

-Would enjoy any size town; if you recommend based on area, please include why! I have no preference based on location and would appreciate info about the areas!

For now, please ignore cost, it will be dealt with when considering the schools you’ve recommended. Thank you!

i don;t understand how you can have 5.15 GPA - but, that aside, with a 3.7 UW and 1340, you are probably a strong candidate for most of the UCs (probably not UCB, LA or SD and all of the CSUs. Davis and Sac State both have outstanding PoliSci programs and really take advantage of their proximity to the state capitol. Since cost isn’t an issue, LMU and USD and Santa Clara are a couple of privates that may accept you as well. Since the student experience is so different, I’d suggest you tour a bunch of them and see what you think. UCSB is really unique in that is sits right on the Pacific and has a constantly fun vibe. You wouldn’t think so but, UCSC is forest, Davis, Chico and Cal Poly SLO give you the ‘college town’ experience, while other campuses offer a more urban environment. Check them out and see where you think you will fit best.
