I just found out today that after 1 more semester I will be able to transfer to a 4 year college... or at least for a CSU.
I want to major in psychology and when I spoke with the counselor at my JC she told me that UCs don't generally offer psychology programs, that it was mostly CSUs. Is this true? I'm a great studen with a 4.0 GPA but she really has me confused with what I can and should do to prepare for tranferring. I could really use some advice. Such as:
1. Are CSUs better for psych than UCs?
2. If there are UCs that offer psych programs, what are they and do I even have a shot at getting in?
3. I could just use some tips. It seems like I'm having the hardest time just finding out facts and useful info from anyone! It's mostly vague answers that leave me more and more confused!

Any help would be GREAT help. Thank you sooo much!

Every single UC campus (except UCSF) offers an undergrad psychology major. UCs generally are considered better than CSUs in terms of student qualifications and faculty research—most of them are ranked quite high nationally. It is harder to be admitted to a UC campus than to a CSU. UCs are research institutions and offer programs up to the doctoral leve, whereas CSUs usually are much more focused on undergrad teaching and less on graduate education/research and usually offer degrees only to the master’s level.

This doesn’t necessarily say much about the quality of undergrad teaching, however, and several of the CSUs may offer good undergrad psychology programs as well.
