I am wondering if I should try some caffeine during the break of the test. I usually score high on my first three tests, but when science comes around, my score drops significantly. I take practice science tests and do consistently better than the real thing. Real test=26, practice test=29-33. I know it's more of a personal thing that I should test, but what are your opinions?

You could try it…just be careful of a crash in the end of the science section (or sometime in the writing section). You may want to try simulating an real practice test at home (meaning start at 8 o’clock to get the conditions right) and see how you do with vs. without the caffeine.
You could also try eating some fruit, drinking juice, or consuming something else higher in simple carbohydrates that won’t leave you with a sugar crash.
I’d be interested in seeing what happens.
Good Luck

I bring 2 cliff bars. I eat one right before test and one at the break. I also drink water. I do not drink caffeine normally, so I do not use it.

I would try it at home first.

Whatever you do, don’t overdo it. If you have too much, there’s no way to fix it.

Do you normally use caffeine in soda or coffee or tablets? If you don’t, then really you should try it first during a practice test to see how it affects you. It’s a good idea to try with practice test even if you are a soda/coffee drinker. Unless you’ve been doing that for practice tests all along.
