Okay, this will sound really wierd, but I need your help.
I am not/do not want to become a caffeine-a-holic but I need to cram stuff into my brain and stay up until 4 a.m. The only thing I can to do to keep my brain awake and get a 'rush' of energy is to use caffeine. So far I am drinking iced tea from the little packs hoping that it wakes me up.. its working so far. But I was wondering if anyone knew anything that is not too strong, but good enough to keep me awake for a while. Again, my family drinks tea, the most caffeine i have had in my life is mountain dew, I have never drank coffee in my life and I hate the smell of it [so thats not an option, plus we dont own coffee in my house]. Does anyone know any other ways except for caffeine that can keep me up at night?

Simple technique. Slap yourself every hour.

I set alarm clocks to ring every hour so if I fall asleep I'll have to wake up again.
Eyedrops work for me.
Determination.
Music that has a fast beat, i.e. rap/rock and not classical.
Washing your face when you get tired.
Standing and studying (worked for me!)

Hope this helps.

MonoTombo: Lol...thats what my dad said..

Psycho: hmm.. standing and studying, not bad.. eyedrops: i already tried.. lol
Yeah i will try rock music. Okay, so rock music+standing.

thx!

umm..wait a sec. it's sunday. why are you cramming?

Obviously there is a big test on Sunday. Durrr.

you should just take a caffeine pill. although i don't know what it will do to you, for me it just allows me to stay up the entire night.

psycho_paroxysm's ideas are good. also, you can chew gum. the mouth-action will keep you up

How about a red bull

Sleep during the day. :) Ask one of your friends to stay online deep into the night to randomly IM you and keep your distracted. This works for me.

I just had a cup of coffee and I think I'm dying from all the caffeine...I feel your trouble.

Get these little bottles of 5 hour energy. That stuff works great but for about 3-4 minutes after you take it you have a sharp cramp in your side but it works.

Ice bath .

it was saturday for me then, and i wanted to study as much gov stuff before sunday, cuz i knew i would freak out today. i have ap gov test monday

thanks for the suggestions guys! the music and standing really helped, i just paced around the room. I shall keep your suggestions in mind...

thx again!

caffeine pills?

Does anyone know of any that work? Any experience? Which are strongest? How long do they last?

^ not sure blairt but just as a warning--too much caffeine can result in heart issues. Heart issues = not fun.
Sorry if you already knew that. I felt the need to emphasize it. I've heard of horror stories with caffeine where people have heart attacks and all of those nasty things.
