Despite the stress associated with being accepted (work, transcripts, IGETC, loans, etc.), the perks associated with Cal really lift up my spirits. Tell us about the awesome perks associated with being a Cal student so we can all take advantage! Here are a few off the top of the head:

Free download of Adobe CS6, Office, and Windows 8!

RSF (Rec Sports Facility) is only $10 a semester!

Having an email address that ends with "@berkeley.edu"

Free admission to the Campanile (Sather Tower)

Food discounts at restaurants around campus? (Which ones?)

Your turn!

San Francisco

The best perk of all perks. Obviously.

The only thing that is holding me back from committing to Berkeley is that I have never been to the campus. I have no idea how the student’s social life are over there. Berkeley gives me more money and has more prestige.

But UCLA beckons me… Please list more Berkeley’s perks!

Biggest Perk: It’s Cal.

Berkeley Food:
Zachary’s
Ici
La Note
Gregoire
Barneys
Zabu Zabu

and anything in SF

Laguna, you forgot Top Dog and Bongo Burger! I have to agree with Barney’s; their western burger is mmm <3

Wow you guys get photoshop and office??

I can’t believe you guys haven’t listed Cream as a perk. It destroys Diddy Riese.

I did not get accepted to Berkeley but I will appeal on the basis that Cheese Board Pizza and their heavenly thin crust slices are local, so it’s extremely imperative that they reconsider.

You guys are making me hungry, and why haven’t these places been mentioned?

Triple Rock Brewery
Jupiter
Turkish Kitchen
Long Life Vegi
Yogurt Park

You can thank me later ;-)

^ I’ve never visited those places but will definitely check them out once I transfer hahah. Thanks! :D

No one has mentioned Bongo Burger! Their Persian Burger is really good. :)

I can wear whatever I want ;)

@Eviity…I’m actually going to miss dressing up for work. If you see some old dude on campus lounging in loafers and a cardigan, don’t laugh!
