I finally bought my plane ticket for the 18th :). I'll be arriving at the San Francisco airport at around 7:30 a.m. (no earlier flights), but I need to get to the campus at 8 or at least before 8:10. Will I be too late if I take BART? Should I take a shuttle or even a taxi instead?

The BART takes about an hour and it will probably take 10-15min to walk from the station. Best bet is take a taxi, but even then I doubt you will make it. It takes 35-1hour depending on traffic.

Im assuming your a freshman…I think you have until like 9 to check in.

I doubt you’ll get to campus on time. According to the BART site, the trip from SFO to Berkeley Downtown is almost an hour. Dunno about taking a car from SFO on a Saturday morning. A shuttle might be too slow; I don’t know about taxi service. :/

The Berkeley BART station is about a block from the Western edge of campus – could be a short walk if you’re planning to go farther than that.

on the bart, its at least a hour

okay, thanks everyone!

I believe the BearTransit perimeter bus will be free this weekend and it will probably run on Cal Day even though it is a Saturday.

Is it ok if I don’t check in? My flight comes in around 8:30.

Where will the BearTransit drive?
