They are mostly garbage on-campus food.

One of the best things about Berkeley is its off-campus food (conveniently located a few minutes walk from campus).

These great options are located right near campus:

Cafe Milano on Bancroft (i recommend the chicken or turkey sandwich)

Cafe Intermezzo on Telegraph (i recommend the salads/sandwiches)

Steve's Korean BBQ on College Ave. (i recommend the short ribs or chicken)

Most of those are on-campus dining commons, or restaurants. Except for Romona's (very good), or the Golden Bear Caf

Now now, on-campus foods has gone a long way. It use to be one of the worst in the nation 5 years ago. Now it's been winning all sorts of prestigious awards.

Of course, off-campus restaurants are very good. no questions about that.

My standards must be nuts, because despite the fact that all those awards are pretty much bullocks (HONESTLY), Caf

Yup. It was totally different 4 years ago. And even more goodies are coming up (this is insider info since I am a calso counselor ;) )

Yeah, but I am annoyed I have to walk to Crossroads for breakfast in the morning when my own damn Unit's caf

Intermezzo on Telegraph has excellent sandwiches, huge salads, a wonderful choice.......the bread is amazing

Crepes a go go, also on Telegraph is delightful, if you like crepes.

Naan Curry, the other direction on Telegraph is quite popular

Chipotle on telegraph makes a tasty burrito

House of Curries on Durant, across from Asian Ghetto
Asian Ghetto restaurants: Gypsy's Italian, Steve's Korean, Thai Basil
Thai House (Channing)
Smart Alec's (Telegraph & Durant) for "healthy" fast food
Top Dog (Durant) for a great hot dog and libertarian propaganda

But yeah, if you're curious about dorm food, maybe give Crossroads a try...

Just walk down telegraph and you'll find just about every type of food you could possibly want.

Speaking of the Asian Ghetto, try to get a freshly made doughnut from Kingpin's around 10PM. It's definitely heavenly. And the sushi place inside the Asian Ghetto is really good, albeit a tad expensive.

hmmm if you really want sushi.. definitely check out joshuya's.. its located on dwight/telegraph. for the same priced mediocre sushi from place in Asian Ghetto, you can get some REAL quality sushi from joshuya's:) its pretty amazing.
