Cal Day

Im trying to arrange a group of us to go to cal day on april 17th. whos down to go?

I already have a friend of mine going with me but I would possibly think about meeting up to say hi.

Dude, you know I’m down. If we can’t commute, then I’m in for meeting up with a group of us too.

I’m planning on driving to the Pleasanton BART station and just taking it to berkeley

im trying to convince hellostranger to come with me. hahaha. who else is downn?

Berkeley is a loooooong drive from where I live. I hope it all works out for me. I would love to go!

yeah im considering barting it too. idk though. berkeley parking is such a damn killer!

haha pleasanton bart is so close to me, i could walk if i really wanted to.

im not sure if im going to go to Cal Day…kinda want to get accepted before i get my hopes up lol.

@ollieshuvitz, same reason I’m not going… lol.

Hmm, it’s such a costly trip that it seems silly to do unless I actually get in, haha. I’m just gonna drive/fly up there like the week after I get accepted (if I get accepted).

also, ive been to Cal during their fall semester and loved the campus. i feel like visiting during the week would give a prospective student a more realistic feel regarding life in Berkeley than Cal Day would. im sure Cal Day is fun tho!

oh yeah and Cal football games = amazing haha

I guess I’m down to go lol

One month!!! One month until we will know… but anyways the have the schedule up for Cal Day… I thought you guys might want to check it out there seems to be tons of interesting stuff to check out plus great info… also things specifically for transfers…

I’m trying to decide whether to go or not. haven’t been accepted yet, but really really want to go. If anyone else is going from the Santa Clarita area, I’d pay gas money  (carpool!?). I’m really looking to cut costs…it a 6 hr drive, that’s a lot to do all alone. If I was in right now, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Im down to hang out, whos applying to Haas?

I’m sad. :frowning: When I visited the campus in January, there were a whole series of unfortunate events that took place, resulting in me not liking Berkeley. I feel like if I went back, I could give it another shot!

I’m just too far south to head up for one day!

what happened? i know i loved my berkeley trip. minus seeing my ex. hahah

Lets see… my cousin, who lives in San Jose took me up there. She pretty much complained the entire ride up- about the rain, the drive, everything. We got there, and the campus tour started from the tower because it was MLK day, and I didn’t realize it was a holiday. So, I sprinted to the Campenile, and she just decided to wait in the car. So, its POURING rain at this point (I’d never been in rain like * that * before!) Some woman on the tour slipped on the University of California metal plate by the library, so we waited nearly 45 minutes for paramedics, the whole group holding a blue tarp over her so the rain wouldn’t hit her (don’t get me wrong, I was more than happy to help and glad she was alright.) Our tour ended pretty abruptly, I was soaked, had to deal with a *****y cousin, and just wanted to go back to sunny San Diego.

Now, I realize this isn’t the average experience there, and if I went back i’d probably have a great time- but the trip I took was just so so awful. :(

ahaha she was on the seal, looks like she’s not getting a 4.0.

aww that sux big time. but i kinda lol at the image of the blue tarp being held over the lady by all of you.

plan another trip with a friend and take the amtrak, nice view, a couple of cuba libres…etc…

you know what southwest has a deal right now $58 to San Francisco one way.

dont let that horrible experience get you down :)
