<p>I was wondering how long it will take for me to be put into the Cal directory. I sent in my SIR on May 1st and want to sign up for an email, waive the health insurance plan, and other things that require me to authenticate. I haven't mailed in my check for the SIR yet, does that have anything to do with still not being able to authenticate?</p>

<p>To SIR, you have to agree to pay the $100 fee. They give you the option of either paying online or mailing a check.</p>
<p>From what I've gathered, you're added to the directory 2-4 days after receipt of payment. (Spring admits won't be added until September.)</p>
<p>I just got off the phone with admissions and they said that it is not possible to pay with a credit card once you have selected the mail-in payment method.</p>

<p>I mailed my payment in last Thursday and I was in the directory on Saturday. It might take a few days longer if you are mailing it from outside of the Bay Area.</p>
