Cal Grant and Blue and Gold/Middle Class

I’ve applied to mostly UC schools. I submitted the FAFSA and I was awarded a Cal Grant of $12,240 if I attend a UC school. Will I also be eligible for the Blue and Gold or Middle Class scholarship? I know that I would qualify for Blue and Gold/MC based on my family’s income. What I am wondering is if the Cal Grant can be combined with those other awards. Or can you only get either Cal Grant or Blue/Gold, but not both. I am not sure how this works.

It seems like Blue/Gold and Middle Class is for tuition and fees only. If I can get Cal Grant, then could I use this for room and board?

The Blue/Gold is a ‘promise’ that your tuition and fees will be covered. Since the Cal Grant covers most of that, the promise will be fulfilled. The difference for tuition/fees will be made up in ‘uc grants’. So, sorry, no they don’t stack on top of each other. I have no information on the middle class scholarship. Hopefully someone else here will. Assuming your school determines you have additional need, you may be offered additional grants, work study, loans, etc.
