Cal Grant/Chaffee Payments?

<p>Okay I have been googling like crazy trying to find out when i should be expecting the Cal Grant checks for me & my boyfriend. We're moving soon so i want to be sure when i should check the mail.. as for my boyfriend, he's approved for both the Cal Grant & the Chaffee but for some odd reason when i try to create a profile for him on Webgrants4students.org, it says his info doesn't match the Fafsa or GPA verification form but i already checked his SAR and yes, it does match & i'm sure all the info is right. Also, will the Cal Grant come up on my Mt.SAC Portal Award Payments tab like the BOG Waiver & Pell Grant did? Any info would be awesome :) thanks in advance!</p>

<p>Which Cal Grant is it? Whether you will actually see a check from your college depends on which Cal Grant. Cal Grant A is only for tuition/fee assistance. This money will remain with the school. Cal Grant B offers the same, but also a living assistance amount. This is given directly to the student by the school.</p>

<p>Cal Grant C I’m not terribly familiar with as it is not one that seems to come up often. If this is the one being received, I will need to do a little more research, but my initial thoughts are it operates similar to B (tuition/fee assistance stays with the school; book/supply allowance is given directly to the student).</p>

<p>Which school is this for? Most schools list when financial aid is dispersed (as well as when one might be able to expect a refund check if applicable).</p>
