so if you don’t get into the school of your choice…what are you going to do? Go back to cc for a year?

Oh, I see UCTransfer. There’s nothing to worry about anymore since it doesn’t matter what GPA you have. Hopefully we’ll get some grant monay!

@lookin4ward yea then i would have no choice, but to stay at CC since i only applied to 4 colleges.

@acoustickitty123 Forsure lets hope we get the maxx amount of money lool

uchappytrain: CSAC’s website will have it. Just make an account if you haven’t already. It’s the same place one checks to see if GPA verification and FAFSA have been received.

Lookin4ward: That sounds more impressive than it actually is :). Cal Grant just covers systemwide fees at CSUs and UCs. It covers a set amount (about $9k) at privates, but this is currently under proposal to be cut to almost half. So really, it just depends on whatever price they’ve decided to raise systemwide fees to. I would be scared if this was ever raised to $15k for the UCs, but it does look like it’s on its way… Certainly about there when one adds in campus fees at some UC campuses (campus fees are not covered by Cal Grant).

Just checked the website guys, thanks for this thread, mine wasn’t received either! But I do have some good news–
“If you missed the March 2nd deadline and are attending a California Community College, you still have until September 2nd to submit your GPA Verification Form and your FAFSA to be considered for a Community College Cal Grant award.”

I made a login with the website that Lookin4ward posted (thanks!) and it gave me the information on the homepage:) check for yourself to see, hope this helps!

The September 2 deadline is for those who will still be in attendance at a CCC for the fall quarter/semester, not those transferring to a four-year this fall.

ETA: Or at least this is how it was when I went through. I don’t think they’ve changed it that I can recall. Also note that the Sept 2 deadline awards are very limited.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I’m having the same GPA verification concern. I’ve attended two different community colleges (both in the Los Rios district), but only Folsom Lake College submitted a verified GPA. This is where the vast majority of my units have come from.

According to dilapidatedmind’s post I should be alright, but I was wondering if anyone with a similar situation would mind posting how it all panned out. Was your Cal Grant Awarded? Denied?

Thanks!

edit- I also forgot to mention that according to UCSC’s financial package, I qualify for “Conditional Cal Grant A”. Is this a good sign or is it standard practice before the CSAC decisions come out?

Does it list all schools that sent in a verification form? Because for this year, it says my GPA verification was sent in by my old college, but last year is says it was sent in by my current college. Maybe it only lists whichever was sent in first?

In previous years it has shown both, but this year just the one.
