Cal Grant Status update = Accepted to UCI?

My Cal Grant status updated only for UCI, Does this mean that I've been accepted to UCI? Is the financial aid office and admissions office separate?
I logged into my UCI Message Center and it does not say anything...yet...

Did you, by chance, list UCI as your first school? Because mine is updated for UCLA (which was the first college I listed for attendance)
I didn’t get any money though :/

If i recall correctly, no it doesn’t mean you are accepted. I thought the same thing as you when it said the same thing for UCLA, but I wasn’t accepted.

Hope you get in though.

they verify your high school GPA and also your (or your parent’s income), if your income is over 50K, then you are not likely to get Cal Grant …

Mine is listed for UCSD,UCSB & UCLA eventhough I have applied for total six UC’S. But, when I checked detail report it only list UCSD for the grant money.

both Cal Grant and UCI both emailed me that I will not get need-based grants … I guess my folks make too much to qualify …

Cal grant form lists the first three schools you put on your fafsa so it does not mean you have been accepted (though don’t lose hope the process for acceptance still going on :D) you change the schools that are listed later on from one of the tabs.

hello guys, do you know if international applicants are eligible for cal grant? I couldnt file FAFSA because i dont have a us security number…:S so it seems like i, as a international applicant, is un-eligible to any sort of finanacial aid and scholarships… :(

cal grant is only for california residents i think? but i dont know for sure

Yup. You must qualify as a California resident to be eligible for the Cal Grant.
