<p>for my cal grant, the CAR lists up to 3 schools. i have down 1. ucsd 2. cal 3. ucla, and it says if the school isnt first on your CAR, u gotta send them back the paper informing them where im going. im confused because why do they list 3 if only the 1st school works? does this mean i have to tell them im going to ucla, not ucsd, so my cal grant goes to ucla?</p>
<p>they put berkeley as my first choice and so i notified them about changing it to ucla. they changed it to ucla and i got a letter from them that was changed to ucla. you can change schools online and you should get notified back in about a week.</p>
<p>I think they list three so that you can see the amounts you could possibly receive for your 2nd and 3rd choice schools, in case the 1st one falters. </p>

<p>You could always call them up, 1-888-CA-GRANT and change it.</p>
<p>yea you need to make an account...its legit and it really works. i changed it online and got a new financial award letter in the mail about a couple of weeks later with ucla's name on it instead of berkeley's. if you want to be on the safe side go ahead and mail it in but i tend to like to get things done so i jst did it online. good luck</p>
