I recently transferred to a university from a community college. i never received a cal grant before but have filled out fafsa during my stay in community college. i only did it for the fee wavier but never actually received a check or any cash.

Do the years i filled out fafsa count as the years of me getting a cal grant, because i probably still have about two years before i graduate, and there's no way i can afford UC tuition without Cal grant aid.

Transfer students from community colleges are eligible for Cal Grants - but only if they apply at the same time that they put in the transfer application. Have you already started at the university, or will you be starting in the summer or fall?
