Cal, IGETC areas, and major prep

I was filling out my supplemental forms for Cal, and I realized that, although I took a couple psych classes and a sociology course to satisfy Area 4 of the IGETC (social/ behavioral science), I might look a lot better if I used my political science courses to satisfy this area, since I have a 4.0 in my poli sci classes, and it counts as an "interdisciplinary sequence," or so I think. I'm wondering if I can use all 3 of these classes to satisfy both my major prep and IGETC, and if there is a benefit to doing so. It would give me an almost 4.0 on the IGETC as a whole, save for the two courses I have planned for the spring, and a bio course I got a B in.

Obviously, the psych and sociology courses still count toward my GPA (3.76 overall) and the 60 units, and they are on my regular application, I'm just wondering if it would help my chances for Berkeley if I put my poli sci classes on both the major prep and IGETC supplemental forms.

Anyone…?

Yes.

Use any advantage you can. If the course meets the IGETC and you got As, then use that.

It’s common sense broski.

lol thanks. But I can use the courses for fulfilling both my major prereqs and IGETC? There isn’t some limit to how many I can use to satisfy both?

No limit. You basically knock out 2 birds with one stone. Everyone does this brah so no worries.
