I applied to Cal with an undeclared major in Letters and Science and to UCLA with Electrical Engineering.

I hear it’s very difficult to switch into Cal’s engineering department, and I may have better luck going for Computer Science in Cal’s Letters and Science department instead (I read that about half get admitted).

Should I go to UCLA and go straight into Electrical Engineering, or should I go to Berkeley and risk not getting into either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering?

Berkeley’s engineering department is way better than UCLA’s, which is making this so much more difficult.

Thanks for your guys’ input.
