Would anyone know how is Cal Poly doing with budget cut. Although at first I was denied admission, I recently received an email from Cal Poly telling me I was accepted. I was already set to attend CSULA, but now Im wondering if Cal Poly is a better option, as CSULA seems to been hit hard by the budget cuts. My major is psychology btw.

All CSU and UC campuses are going through the same budget cuts, so on those terms, it doesn’t matter which campus you choose. Since you should have only paid your SIR fee, I would still choose the campus you originally had as your first choice. Even if you paid more, you’ll live the rest of your life with your college experiences, it would be totally worth going to your first choice. Most students would choose CPP over CSULA due to the CPP’s higher reputation, but that’s completely up to you. In my opinion, Cal Poly has a better and more residential campus feel. Remember, I you live west of the 605, you’ll have to live in the dorms. If you can afford it, living on campus is essential to a complete college experience. Hope this helps.
