<p>Why not comment on all posts that don’t specifically list GPA or major or acceptance or denial? There are several others on here. I believe there’s a board moderator and that person is the one to judge. There’s nothing wrong with people supporting each other during this waiting process. And btw Your post doesn’t give any pertinent or useful info regarding admissions…#hellopotmeetkettle</p>
<p>Agreed, Socal29fan. The thread is called “2013 Fall Admissions Decisions” and everything discussed has been related to the admissions decisions process. I think everyone is just getting antsy waiting for their decisions. To keep my post relevant, still no decision in the portal. Son applied for general engineering. Kind of losing hope at this point, but he does have some other good options: Purdue, Texas A&M, SJSU being a few among them. Still waiting for other UC/CSUs and UW.</p>

<p>I’ve been watching this board closely. I don’t recall seeing a single posting of acceptance or rejection since last week (although some people have posted they were accepted before this week). Possible exceptions: post # 360, and also a couple of posts of people being wait-listed.</p>
<p>Obie…I’ve noticed the same thing. When I went to go check the portal last night around 9:30 p.m. PST it was ‘unavailable’. I figured they were uploading some decisions…but…as of right now S, ME is ‘undetermined’.</p>
<p>Well, eazycompany’s girlfriend got accepted day before yesterday for material’s engineering major. I don’t know whether she was accepted on that day or checked the portal on that day.</p>
<p>@dietz199 - My S did that same analysis last night too. It states scheduled maintenance but he thought maybe they were uploading an excel file of data (or something similar) into the program.</p>
<p>@NorthCAMom - My S still has not heard on his Aerospace Engineering app either. He is ultra competitive for the program, so you are not alone in the agony of waiting and wondering :)</p>

<p>Rocketmom: S is also very very competitive, in his case for ME. According to his Naviance account no one in his range has been denied. And yet…there is always the rumor that some high stats kids get denied because they figure they won’t attend. Which in our case is flat out wrong. So for now I should probably switch to decaf :(</p>

<p>For all of those still wondering when wait listed people find out if they have a spot, I talked to admissions today and the lady told me that high school wait listers find out July 1st and transfers find out July 15th. She also said that the amount of people that they take in is very limited, unfortunately. Also, the wait list is not numbered it’s a random pool of names. As of today, I’ve lost some hope of getting off the wait list. I just hope I get accepted to San Diego because my only other option is Sonoma and I don’t want to go there. :/</p>
<p>My son received the wait list survey today (one week after his portal said he was wait listed) He was hoping it was a survey requesting his extra curricular activities, community service, etc. (like Cal Poly used to do for wait listed engineering students) Ugh, the survey he received said, “Would you like to remain on the wait list?” By May 15th he will be informed if his wait list status has changed.</p>
<p>@Coffeelover9: Wow, May 15th? I was told today by admissions not until July. July is probably the final yes or no though. That’s good that they update you.</p>
<p>I got May 15th too. I’m not going to worry too much and try to keep my head high for the other schools I applied too</p>
<p>@ Cheloveu02 the quote from the e-mail is " You can expect to hear the final result of your Wait list status by May 15, 2013." We have friends who got off the wait list in a week and some who got in the last week of March. @ warlands719 - I love your positive attitude! There are so many great schools out there, including the UC’s that will let us know in mid march. Your great attitude is going to take you far in life!</p>
