<p>So I guess after mid June some link will appear to verify graduation.</p>
<p>For me it still says “You have no financial aid awards available for viewing in this aid year.”
Also under the “pending financial aid” tab, it says “You have no pending financial aid at this time.”</p>
<p>Does this mean they just haven’t finished posting them yet or that I won’t get any aid at all?</p>
<p>Yeah I applied to 10 private schools and my parents don’t make alot … The financial aid was good I guess considering on average I would have to pay 25k while tuition was 50k</p>
<p>did anyone else only get loans for finanacial aid? I only got 5,500 in available funds, plus another 5,000 in cal grant… How do they expect you to pay for college with only 10k a year? My EFC doesn’t even pay off the deficit I’ll have to owe.</p>
<p>I went to the financial aid office yesterday because I was also very worried about the amounts shown on Bronco Direct. Our EFC is $3,979. According to the FA counselor - the Cal Poly Pomona Grant shown below for $500, is given to all incoming student that will be living in the dorms. The State University Grant is exactly the same amount as the Cal Grant A. If you take the Cal Grant A, then you can’t take the State University Grant. You can’t take both. Either of these would go towards tuition which is about the $4884 plus an additional $500 or so in fees. $5,500 is the usual student loan amount which we want to avoid having to take.</p>
<p>Now if you applied for the general scholarships and grants that had the deadline of Feb 1, those won’t show up until October. I think I heard that housing fees aren’t due til October if you are expecting aid but I don’t know for sure. We are really hoping he gets something from the general scholarships or things will be very difficult. The counselor made it sound like there isn’t a lot of money to be offered and we should keep applying to outside scholarships. Have any of you been successful at getting any other scholarships?</p>

All I got was 5.5k in loans.
I submited my cal grand on time and it says i would get 4.8k i checked the cal grant site and it says AWARED - ON HOLD but isn’t showing up on my broncodirect for finandial aid.
and my FAFSA EFC score was around 3-4k </p>
<p>are they not done distributing all the aid?
That means my mom would have to pay all the 22k with no aid and be paying off loans…</p>

<p>ohdang : Cal Grant won't show up until July, your school probably send in your GPA late since you said it's still "on hold" at this time. Just check back often to your Cal Grant acct.</p>
<p>lovenc, could it possible you receive more on pell grant? That might be a reason to why it doesn’t show up. I have about the same FA as you, and don’t have the cal poly grant, but I have a bit more in pell grant. So I’m guessing that why I didn’t receive the cal poly grant.</p>
<p>I called them the day my FA showed up on Bronco Direct, I thought I qualified for 3 more grants, 2 which I found out was canceled starting this school year and the $500 Grant. The person said that what I get on Bronco is what I get o.O or something like that.</p>
<p><em>sigh</em> my EFC is 0 but FA did not cover all my cost of attendance and I don’t know how to pay for the rest beside work study. Darn budget cut =/</p>

I got the exact same FA and loans as you do, jcinoc, except I don’t have the $500 Grant and I get max Pell Grant which is like $5,550 My Cal Grant is only 1,500 or around there, a lot less than the State Uni Grant.</p>

<p>Is it possible to get more loans than the ones shown on broncodirect?
The total aid I got plus loans only covers have the total cost of attendance, and my EFC is 0 as well.</p>
