I just read something interesting, it states for impacted majors they don’t differentiate between local and non-local applicants but I doubt that true

Unless you’re transferring into an impacted major, don’t stress so much about your GPA. I applied as a Business Administration major with CIS emphasis with a 2.4 GPA and got in. Just make sure that you have your golden 4 completed and have completed enough coursework to give you enough units to transfer in as a junior. Impacted majors are where they are forced to get selective with who they admit.

I applied for fall 2012 and was accepted but declined their acceptance. I had a 2.8 GPA and at the time applied as industrial engineering major (non impacted) and am not in the area service schools (Citrus and Mt. San Antonio)

definitely check out the acceptance rate by major, hope it helps

Thank you @tehjoadsta! I’ve been stressing out all week… I applied for the Graphic Design program and have a gpa of 2.4. I hope I get in! SJSU already said they want nothing to do with me and the major is impacted :(

@Integrant I applied for a non-impacted major but they still asked for transcripts…

@hinkelstein Same here. Been on Ready for Review for about a month. Wait is killing me.

Any Electrical engineering majors here get in? I’m still at “referred to impacted plan” for over a month.

@Apexfish

Same here. I haven’t heard of any EE’s getting in yet

Yeah… I really want to go to cpp but the admission rate was 33% in 2012 and around 44% in 2011 for EEs. Let me know when you get your admission, though!

Will do and same to you if you here first

Sent from my SGH-T999 using CC

Geez this wait is killing me!

Any Civil Engineering Transfer? my portal still says referred to impacted plan for over a month.

I’ve also been on referred to impacted plan for civil engineering for about 1.5 months now. Let me know if u get in

^ will do. Let me know if you get accepted.

CPP has yet to receive transcripts. I sent it in Janurary and its on my “To-Do List”. I’m afraid that CPP or the mail carrier has lost it.

I have submitted my transcripts and they say they have received them, but the app status says that its incomplete, with nothing else to do and admissions doesnt help. Any suggestions?

NO its, not. CSULB and CSUF rejected me 3.4 gpa but they are impacted.

^i think you two should check on that. I submitted my transcripts when my application was incomplete and days later my portal said application complete and now just still waiting on a response.

Mine took a while and when I called they said it can take up to 15 days after they receive them to process. But since the deadline was January 30th (for me at least) it cleared out of my to-do list in mid February.

Eagerly awaiting decision. My application status is “Application Complete” and my To-Do list is empty.

Do you guys think I have a chance?

I got disqualified from UCSD with a 1.6 GPA after a year due to personal reasons.

I moved to CC and I got a 3.9+ GPA so far - at the time of my app my combined GPA was like 2.9, after fall grades it should be around 3.2.

My major is computer science, which I don’t believe is impacted. I’ve been accepted to CSULB and denied from SLO.

My boyfriend already got in for CS and he has NO CS classes in his life, which surprised me. I really want to get in so I can dorm with him!
