<p>Southpasadena: I was merely pointing out that when he said CSULB is harder than the UC's (not that it is), then it would be those "bottom tier" UC schools. I doubt that it is better than even those boottom UC schools, but it would be a complete misomer to compare CSULB as being harder or even at the same caliber as a UCSD, UCLA, UCB in the math and science departments.</p>
<p>First off math is math, the most beneficial school to learn in will be the school the has the best teachers who can most easily teach the theory of what they are learning. Sciences are different, but the fact that i believe UCR and UCSC has better tuturing services, i would put them ahead of CSULB.</p>
