I'm a senior and I would like to apply to Cal Poly Pomona as one of my options for next year. I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and I realize this is an impacted major.
My Stats:
GPA: Unweighted- 3.0
Weighted- 3.1
SAT:
CR: 680
Math: 590
Total: 1270
I am captain of the Varsity football team.
Lots of Community Service hours through being a Team Leader at my church: approx. 1500 hrs.
I have taken relatively difficult classes: Physics, AP Stat, AP and Honors English, Honors Chem but i got a D the second semester so it doesn't really count, precalculus aswell.
I also am an Advanced Architectural Design Student if that means anything, how much worse are my chances if my major is Architecture??? (highly impacted)
Any help is appreciated.

The College of Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona had an average GPA of 3.44 and SATs of 1121 (Only math and reading). That was for fall 2009 though. Your GPA is below average but your SAT score might do the trick.

Architecture will be a lot tougher to get in. Your CSU eligibility index is of 3750, the Department of Architecture advises a score of 4100.
