What time would decisions come out for in state ? Around the afternoon or morning?
@kylieb317, as I recall, it took about 24 hours after my son was accepted before the button showed up in his portal for him to commit to the school. No, you don’t have to wait for an acceptance email.

@czs1994 When discussing “off campus dorms” I was referring to places like Mustang Village. I apologize for not properly describing them as “apartments.” I do definitely disagree with a lot of your counterargument. First off, I wouldn’t call the 4-person Cerro apartments “rare,” as two of my friends (different groups) both had one roommate that they had requested the towers with and of these two groups both ended up in 4 person apartments with an extra two randos thrown in even though Cerro was one of the last choices on their list. Also, there are TONS of 4 person apartments in Cerro. All of the back walls of Morro, Cabrillo, Hollister, and Raumaldo are lined with 4-person apartments. And Bishop and Islay are all a majority 4 person rooms. They literally didn’t have enough people to fill them. I also did say that Cerro was not the best for really social people, so I don’t understand why you had to reiterate that when making a post with the sole purpose of correcting me. Also, PCV is a SIGNIFICANTLY longer walk to campus than Cerro is. Regarding your calling out of my omittance of PCV as a freshman dorm, I have met only one freshman my entire time being here that has said they lived in PCV. Cal Poly also doesn’t even allow you to request PCV…Thus, although your numbers look very exact, I find it very hard to believe that claim that 1/5 of the freshman live in PCV. And obviously, I wasn’t considering PCV as a freshman dorm when I said that Cerro was by far the newest freshman dorm. As for opinion based matters, I’m going to just have to link to a picture of a Redbricks triple: http://content-calpoly-edu.s3.amazonaws.com/housing/1/documents/room_dim_smtn_t.pdf Although the square footage of the Redbricks is only “slightly smaller” than that of the towers, as one can see in this PDF, the rectangular dimensions of the room make optimization of space very difficult, and from one glance, you can see just how cramped it really is. I’m pretty sure a game room won’t make up for living in that… especially when Cerro has a community center as well. But again, this is all up to opinion, so I’ll also link to a page where you can compare all of the rooms yourselves (I probably should’ve done this in my previous post.) http://www.housing.calpoly.edu/content/student_housing_freshman Thank you very much for correcting me on a few things, though: like how the Redbricks are split between male and female on each floor, ect.
@pressieb ooh okay also congrats!!
